Part 1
For all the quick fix promises of diets and weight loss
programs, very few actually deliver. We wouldn’t have the medical community
raising alarms over the amount of dollars spent on controllable medical issues
related to weight and sedentary behavior. According to StatisticsCanada, there is a year over year increase in the population that
fall into the overweight and obese category. And more and more people search
for the quick fix.
As a personal trainer, it is saddening and motivating at the
same time because this is reversible. Personally, I would love it if a quick
fix worked whether it was diet or exercises related. So, when you see the “lose
weight with a 10 minute exercise” yes, it can be that simple but not exactly
quick.
If you added multiple bouts of 10 minutes of exercise per
day to your routine, it is pretty much guaranteed that you would see a change.
Yes, 10 minutes of exercise can get you on your way to loosing weight. Talk to
a personal trainer about some movements that will work for you.
